Boston Fitness Center
We were asked to design a fitness center located in Boston’s North End. For my design, I was interested in the idea of how can architecture encourage a healthy, active lifestyle.
I introduced a pair of ramps that circle thebuilding, similiar to a running track. One rampruns exterior to the building, serving as a jogging ramp for the public while the other acts as the building’s main circulation.
Additionally, my project feeds off an interaction of space, in hopes that the viewing of individuals being active will encourage others to follow their lead and work towards a healthy lifestyle.
